Have you ever wondered about the new graphics for the podcasts? All the colors have meanings.
Red- Clock- is all about time.
Orange- Carrot- is all about food and ingredients.
Yellow- Lemon- is personal about Marie or an on air coaching.
Green- Measuring Cup- is about recipes.
Blue- Salt Shaker- is about cooking skills.
Purple- Knife and Fork- is about motivation.
This week is an “Orange” podcast and we are talking about Fall Fruits.
Fruit that is in season during the fall includes:
Apples
Cranberries
Figs
Grapes
Limes
Pears
Pomegranate
Quince
Persimmon
I went into detail about my trick using a bowl of water to separate the seeds from the pith on pomegranate and talk about my favorite fall fruit recipe. Poached Pears are one of my favorite desserts and my children love them too. For an extra-fancy dessert I serve them over Creme Anglaise.
