Taco Mix with KAKE TV
I had a blast on KAKE TV last week. The co-hosts, Jemelle Holopirek and Shane Ewing were so kind and are every bit as fun as they appear on camera.
1 ½ cups Chili Powder
2 Tablespoons Garlic Powder
2 Tablespoons Onion Powder
1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
2 Tablespoons Oregano
¼ cup Paprika
¾ cup Ground Cumin
2 teaspoons Ground Black Pepper
Mix all ingredients together. It will store for 3-6 months in a jar. To make taco meat, combine 2 Tablespoons of mix, 1 teaspoon of salt, and ½ cup water for every pound of browned meat. Simmer for 5-10 minutes and serve. *Note: This recipe has my “Basic” directions. The complete recipe is available with freezing instructions and other tips in my cookbook.
